What people built, in their own words.

Every quote below is unedited except for trimming. Nobody here was a beginner: they came in already using AI daily and still felt like they were leaving something on the table. Everyone is credited by first name only.

Vince

Business Development, Defense Technology

I was already using AI heavily before I met Ben. What I didn't have was a methodology, so I was mostly generating noise for myself. Documents on documents, version control, everything scattered.

Two sessions later I've got an assistant running on an old Mac Mini that I message from my phone whenever something hits me, a new contact, a follow-up I owe someone, an idea at eleven at night. It all lands somewhere I can find it. He also set me up with a research agent that briefs me on my market every morning.

What made the difference was watching how he actually uses this stuff himself. It would have taken me hours and hours of research and second guessing to get where I got in two conversations.

What did Human Balance AI help you do?

Ben helped me stand up a working AI system instead of just a pile of tools I was already paying for. I could use Claude a lot before this, lots of different design elements and projects, but I didn't have a methodology behind any of it. He gave me the frame.

What did you create, improve on, or automate?

I've got a personal assistant running headless on an old Mac Mini that I can message from my phone any time something hits me, a new contact, a follow-up I owe somebody, a weird idea at eleven at night. It all lands in a vault I own and can actually search later. He also got me set up with a research agent that pulls a brief on my market every morning.

What problems did it solve?

The big one is that if you don't use these tools the right way, you just create more noise. Documents on documents, version control, stuff scattered across five different apps. The other one is that in my line of work there can be weeks or months between meaningful conversations with someone, and things fall off. Ben helped me build a way to keep track of all of it.

How would you rate the consultation and the advice?

Invaluable. It would have taken me hours and hours and hours of research, plus constant rethinking and second guessing, to get where I got with him in two sessions.

What felt different about this over generic AI advice?

Seeing how he actually uses the tools himself is what made the difference. Generic advice tells you a thing is powerful. Ben showed me his own systems running, told me what took him a week to get right, and gave me a much clearer perspective on what will and won't work for me specifically.

What would you tell someone considering working with Ben?

Do it, and be honest with him about your boundaries. I told him there were things I wasn't going to hand off to a machine and he said totally fine and moved on, no pressure, no pitch about becoming an AI-first anything. If you're using these tools and feeling like you're leaving something on the table, he's the guy.

Darren

Cybersecurity Engineer

What did Human Balance AI help you do?

Hermes agent was always a pipe dream for me. Now it's working and running my infrastructure insights so I can do more work faster and more secure.

What did you create, improve on, or automate?

I now have a self-sustaining and learning AI assistant to help me improve my home's security, and to help take care of maintenance tasks (backup of drives, config changes, etc). Planning, orchestration, subject matter expertise all available anytime on demand.

What problems did it solve?

Knowing what tools/models to use. There is so much info online (all conflicting it seems), but no real clear guidance on the benefits or disadvantages of each.

How would you rate the consultation and the advice?

100/10. Best advice and consultation to feel heard and be able to feel empowered to achieve that pipe dream of an AI system.

What felt different about this over generic AI advice?

Actual knowledge and experience. This isn't another out of touch instructor with questionable technical know how. Ben is someone who lives and breathes this, and can prove it.

What would you tell someone considering working with Ben?

Do it yesterday. What you can achieve with this guidance is life-changing, especially if you are a lazy-efficiency nerd like me.

Chris

Engineering Manager

I've learned quite a lot from Ben's AI thought leadership. I was fortunate to work with him on an open-source project where I not only picked up new skills, but also increased the speed & effectiveness with which I can perform all aspects of AI-amplified software creation. He has a rare gift for explaining complex technologies in plain ways that anyone can understand & learn from, and connects easily with people on a personal & professional level.
